We are a semi-realistic wolf rp on IRC. Our channels are: IC #Semlya and OOC #Flustern on Sorcery.net.
The language in which our pack name is in is Russian, which means to Weave together. A thought in which the wolves of Tkat Vmeste are different in their own way--But still hold a likeliness to each other. Together they weave their ways and stories.
The languages that decorate the board are Russian and German.
If you wish to know how to properly pronounce our pack's name it is: Tuh-kuht V-mee-stuh

I wasn't talking about just behavior (i.e. the way they act towards others), I was talking about the whole different bonds (adoption, courts/mates, spirit bonds), regulations on hunting, that sort of thing. I mean, with it just being some of us who know wolf rp in general right now it's not a big deal, but once you start bringing newbs in, it could turn into chaos with different people being used to different things in roleplay without at least some sort of regulations.
As someone whose done more than IRC based wolf rp, I know that there are 1500 different ways to do it, and if you don't specify, people will just go with what they're used to. You also have to realize that most people that come from wolf rps off of mIRC are going to be used to the ability to fight for rank, and that's not something that's part of any IRC packs. It's also not something that, if people think they're allowed to do, you can always win at without god modding.
Also. As per the other rule suggestions being common sense : Yes, they are...to people who aren't new to the roleplay world, and to people who actually do long term roleplays. Not all roleplays are long term, and in that sense a lot of people wouldn't realize they would have to let us know when they leave/aren't going to be around. There is a board for LOAs on the forum, but speaking from the perspective of when I came to wolf rp..I was much more interested in/focused on the website itself than the forum. Without that rule being posted on the website..I never would have known about LOAs. Actually..for that matter..when I first came to wolf rp and joined ES...they didn't have a forum..all they had was a website.
I was thinking on things that might help boost activity and help get newcomers to take more of an interest in the pack, and I was wondering... what about setting weekly or monthly scenarios? I suppose it's sort of like a mini-plot that can just be ever present in between any larger activities we have. It could be tagged as a current news header on the website or something so that everyone can keep up to date with the active scenario. For instance, dwindling herds that need investigating - anything that people can spin off on their own without needing the supervision and presence of the council as with over-arching pack plots. It could help those who are short of muse at the time, and give them something to work from. Just an idea to play around with.
