Erste:
The Erste, or what might be known as alphas, are the leaders of the pack. They are entrusted with the daily management and upkeep of the pack as a whole as well as with enforcing pack laws and customs. They also have the power to promote, demote, and perform bonding ceremonies as well as grant breeding rights to other wolves in the pack.
Sek:
The Sek, or what might be known as betas, are second in command. They are the trusted advisers of the Erste and aid in relieving some of the burden that they carry by sharing in some duties. If the Erste are ever absent or unable to perform their duties, the Sek will step into their position.
Erbe:
The Erbe, or what might be known as heirs, are those wolves in training for a council position, whether it's for the Erste or Sek rank, or if it's for an Elite position among any of the other ranks.
Recke:
The Recke, or what might be known as guardians, are trusted with the safety of the pack. They patrol the pack's borders and help keep an eye on any threats that may effect the pack or any of its members. Elites of this rank are granted the permission to organize and oversee sparring events.
Jaeger:
The Jaeger, or what might be known as hunters, are responsible for keeping the pack well fed by calling and leading hunts. The task of keeping the cache well maintained and clean also falls to the Jaeger. They are also trusted with teaching those pups who are of age the skills involved with hunting, as every wolf is expected to join in on pack hunts.
Spaher:
The Spaher, or what might be known as scouts, are charged with not only knowing everything there is to know about the pack's territory, but land surrounding the territory as well. They might also be asked to gain information on neighboring packs, such as which borders we share and the whether or not they accept visitors. Spaher also work closely with those holding the Recke and Jaeger ranks, due to their extreme knowledge of the land.
Kastellan:
The Kastellan, or what might be known as caretakers, are responsible for the health of the pack. They care for sick or injured wolves as well as expecting or nursing mothers and their offspring. They might also be charged with watching pups while the parents are away for pack-related duties.
Ader:
The Ader, or what might be known as pack members, are the backbone of the pack. They aid the pack by standing in for any unfilled ranks. Some wolves chose to pursue one of the specialty ranks, while others are content being what be called "Jacks of all trade". After completing their time as a Schuller, wolves are placed under this rank.
Rehkitz:
The Rehkitz, or what might be known as pups, are those wolves under the age of one year. It is the responsibility of all wolves to look after the Rehkitz, as they are the future of the pack. Rehkitz do what any child is expected to do; be cute little mischievous balls of fun.
Schuller:
The Schuller, or what might be known as assessments, are those wolves seeking to join the pack. Before being admitted as an Ader, wolves must go through a trial period where they get to know the pack and the pack gets to know them. This trial period is to insure that not only this individual is a right fit for the pack, but that the pack is a right fit for this individual.
